Press Release – KRYTAR Announces New Directional Coupler with 30 dB Coupling Covers 2.0 to 40.0 GHz

SUNNYVALE, CALIF. – – – KRYTAR, Inc., a leader in the design and production of ultra-broadband microwave components and test equipment announces the continued expansion of its line of ultra-wideband directional couplers with the addition of a new model offering 30 dB of Nominal Coupling over the frequency range of 2.0 to 40.0 GHz (S through Ka-Bands), in a compact and lightweight package.

KRYTAR’s new directional coupler, Model 102040030, enhances the selection of multi-purpose, stripline designs that exhibit excellent coupling over the ultra-broadband frequency range of 2.0 to 40.0 GHz in a single, compact and lightweight package. The new directional coupler lends itself to wireless designs and many test and measurement applications within S through K-Bands.

KRYTAR’s new directional coupler, Model 102040030, offers superior performance ratings including Nominal Coupling (with respect to output) of 30 dB, ±1.0 dB and Frequency Sensitivity of ±1.0 dB. The directional coupler exhibits Insertion Loss (including coupled power) of less than 0.8 dB (2-20 GHz) and less than 1.5 dB (20-40 GHz), Directivity of greater than 11 dB, Maximum VSWR (any port) is 1.5 (2-20 GHz) and 1.7 (20-40 GHz), Input Power Rating is 20 W average and 3 kW peak.

The directional coupler comes with industry-standard 2.4-mm SMA female connectors. The compact package measures just 1.75 inches (L) x 0.40 inches (W) x 0.65 inches (H), and weighs only1.2 ounces. Operating temperature is -54° to +85° C.
